STRESS, NIGHT RIDING, and BRIAN ENO
A while back I needed to clear my head, and nothing was better at doing that than an all-night bike ride. I set off with two friends at around midnight, and got home at 5:30am, just before sunrise.
On the way home, I decided to listen to my iPod to keep my lonely ass company as it can get a little weird cycling out of Nottingham at 4am…it’s deserted. I put on my favourite song of all time, An Ending by Brian Eno, and basically entered a state of pure unparalleled bliss. I was listening to the greatest sound ever created by a human, doing the thing I love most in life, and with nobody else around. Essentially, the world was mine for those four minutes and twenty-six seconds, and I like to describe that state as ‘blissful rapture’.
My god, you need to listen to this song while biking.
